Friends, I have made a decision recently in hopes of changing up my luck and the general vibes of my poker playing sessions.
I have decided to temporarily suspend from playing Texas hold ‘em poker online, and focus on Omaha. As we all know, hold ‘em is the most fun and exciting poker game there is, but I have had such a rotten streak of luck that it is time for a change. Like a golfer in a funk who tweaks his swing or switches caddies, I too must change my routine in hopes of turning the tide.
And I’ve always liked Omaha. When you describe it to someone, it sounds simple, “Oh, it’s just hold ‘em with two more hole cards.” but it’s so much more than that. The strategy is completely different, and the cards you want to see in your opening hand are different from that of hold ‘em. So, I am going to exclusively play Omaha for a while, with some 7 card stud thrown in, and see what happens. I do highly recommend becoming at least knowledgeable, if not proficient, in poker games other than hold em, it makes you a more well rounded player. So, we’ll see how this goes the next time I’m at the casino. I’ll certainly let you know. Y pa7,790 PLN (approx. 85,938).
